The Grace Rose Foundation
Who is Grace Rose?
Grace Rose Bauer is a 15 year old super star whom we were lucky enough to meet at a Children's Hospital Los Angeles event earlier this year. Although she was born with CF, in many ways it has made her stronger and more resilient than many others her age. We fell in love with her and her foundation that supports Cystic Fibrosis research.
What is Cystic Fibrosis?
Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease with no known cure. It causes persistent lung infections and can limit the ability to breathe over time. CF is a rare disease-- only abut 30,000 people in the United States have it.
Grace Rose is the designer of her own clothing line called Rosie G. Grace Rose and her mom Leah curate the line and hold incredible events like fashion shows and pop-ups all over LA. Rosie G aims not only to contribute proceeds to CF research, but also to spread awareness of this rare disease. Together, we have teamed up to design the Limited Edition Rosie G X Project Social T sweatshirt. 100% of the proceeds from this sweatshirt will go to The Grace Rose Foundation.
From "Rosie G" herself
"Cystic Fibrosis is life-threatening and there is no cure, YET. They are getting closer each year. I do multiple treatments and take several medications every day just to stay healthy. CF is not well known which is why I feel like it’s so important for me to do whatever I can to help find a cure for everyone that is living with it. I'm designing and selling clothes to raise money and awareness for CF research. My plan is to #cureCF #instyle The name “Rosie G” comes from my alter ego. When I was little I'd put on lip gloss, get dressed up and sing and dance in the mirror. Everyone would say "oh look, here comes Rosie G" - Grace Rose
