The Giving Kitchen
Founded by the heart of Atlanta
The Giving Kitchen began in 2013 from an overwhelming amount of support for local restauranteur, Chef Ryan Hidinger, after he was diagnosed with stage-four cancer. The response from the community within the restaurant industry was enormous. The love and financial support that the Hidinger family received was truly a comfort to them in such a hard time.
Oh, how the love has grown
The Giving Kitchen, still lead by the Hidinger family, has grown and become a beacon of hope for restaurant workers and their families in need in Atlanta. Together they have supported over 1,000 restaurant workers in need of emergency assistance, with over $2 million dollars in financial support.
The Giving Kitchen has been able to offer grants to those who have suffered from an illness or injury, been displaced by a disaster such as house fire or flood, or mourned the loss of an immediate family member.
Project Social T is proud to partner with the Giving Kitchen for the month of December. A portion of every purchase this month will be donated to the Giving Kitchen to help serve those who serve us everyday.
